Moonlight flower

I'm pleased to be able to enter the Less is More challenge which is to use a coloured card base. It will give my lovely readers a change from Christmas cards. I've been short of time for playing around and I've missed entering.
This time they have teamed up with AAA Cards and even though I've had two weeks, I'm still running in at the end.

I knew what I wanted to do so it was a matter of finding the right stamp. This is a Joanna Sheen flower stamp with a Paper Smooches sentiment.

I've used a Brilliance Moonlight White pigment ink with a water brush and a bit of water to colour in the flower. There is a bit of sheen and sparkle to the petals. I hope you can see it.

I added a few lines to ground it.
After a recent visit to Mr C's aunt and uncle, we came home with a boot full of plants for our garden so this is for them. I'll be enclosing some seeds from here as a thank you.

I love the purple and white but still not sure if it needs something else. More lines?
Thanks for visiting and Enjoy The Day. x

  1. Beautiful card and I love how vivid the white is on the purple background! I thought it was done in pencil until I read that you used a water brush with pigment ink :) Thanks for sharing at AAA Cards.

  2. That's one very gorgeous flower stamp and you've shaded it beautifully. Love the white on purple and the addition of the lines to ground it works perfectly. Thanks for playing at AAA Cards.

  3. Beautiful chalky look for the flower. Looks great with the purple. Thank you for sharing with us at AAA Cards.

  4. What a lovely card, with the soft white floral set against the rich colour of the background <3 Very elegant and eye catching, and perfect for our coloured card base challenge! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Less is More :)

  5. So pretty and elegant. Beautiful image and white watercolourining. Sometimes it's tough to resist adding something, but it looks great the way it is. Thank you for joining Less is More in collaboration with AAA Cards.

  6. I agree with Trina, I love it how it is. That bloom is so beautiful and I love the white outline and shimmer you've added, so the lines are just enough to let it shine.
Thanks so much for sharing with us at Less is More, Anita x

  7. Absolutely gorgeous ! Love the colour of your card base and the white embossed image pop up so beautifully over it ! Love the brilliance inks, they give such a soft and delicate shimmer ! Thanks for sharing and for playing along at Less is More !

  8. A lovely card Alison. The colours look very pretty and I don't think it needs anything else. Barbxx
